Experience
I currently teach 4th grade in Fort Myers. Currently hold a Florida and Michigan teaching certification for k-6 all subjects, as well as k-9 science. Before moving to Florida, I worked for three years tutoring and teaching high school science for a nonprofit national organization. Of course, being a teacher, I love kids and really enjoy working one-on-one with students in order to personally meet the needs, rather than just covering material, as is so often done in schools. My two passions in education are reading and science. I love to have "book talks," which are a fun way to check if children are comprehending the reading. I was a science major in college, so I enjoy challenging students with inquiry in science.

I am a dog lover! I have a dog who is a chocolate lab. I like to swim and read in my spare time, and I enjoy talking about books with others who have read the same ones! I also enjoy reading about science and technology advancements and discoveries. I have been interested in traveling lately and experiencing new surroundings, foods, and people.
